Dr. Luis Piedade
Dr. Luis Piedade received his neuroscience and biology degrees and then earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto. After practicing dentistry as a resident at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Dr. Luis obtained his master’s degree and specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from the University of Manitoba. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Luis is the only orthodontist in the Waterloo Region who is an Invisalign Premier Provider, a designation awarded to the top 5% of Invisalign providers in North America. He also teaches Invisalign at the University of Manitoba.
When away from the office, Dr. Luis spends his free time outdoors, sharing his passion for nature and its pursuits with his wife, Nancy and young daughter Emma. Having been part of a national champion soccer team and provincial champion hockey team, Dr. Luis is a sports fanatic. His other interests also include adventure travel, golfing, tennis, martial arts and snowboarding.
