Oral Health Month
This April, RiteBite Orthodontics reminded everyone to practice good oral-health prevention and maintenance as part of an overall healthy lifestyle. This means taking good care of our teeth, gums, and mouth, particularly because we know that poor oral health can contribute to disease and can adversely affect other parts of the body.
To help celebrate Oral Health Month, we had some local Cambridge schools visit our Cambridge office location to learn the importance of oral health, and some of the science used in dentistry and orthodontics. Can you say FUN!?

Dear RiteBite Cambridge Staff,
On behalf of Highland Public School, we would like to thank you for such a wonderful class trip yesterday. I was totally shocked that this was apparently DAY #1 as it went so smoothly. I was thoroughly impressed with the organization and
enthusiasm all of the leaders exhibited. I could tell that a lot of careful planning had gone on beforehand which added to success of the trip. The stations were packed with hands-on activities and the staff was very knowledgable at each of the
stations. The students enjoyed the Raffi song and dancing between the stations to get their wiggles out---what a great idea! Everyone was so accommodating and accepting of the differing needs of the students and the NOISE level as well! The
students, and adults, learned a lot of valuable information about keeping our teeth healthy. This hands-on opportunity will also help them to remember the information as well.
Your generosity was also very much appreciated. The students, especially in my class, treated those green bags filled with goodies like there was gold inside (we are NOT French Immersion). When we returned to school, each student carefully placed
it in his/her backpack and could not wait to show it to their parents.
Thanks again for offering such a rich learning opportunity for our grade two students. The students view the dentist as a "cool" and "fun" place to come and not a "scary" place to go because of this trip! Thanks for reaching out and connecting the
community to school.
Sincerely,
Shelley Karcher

P.S. My twin sister, Sherry Karcher, is now very excited to bring her students in May. She teaches at Chalmers Street Public School in Cambridge and is scheduled for May.
